Most luxury SUVs in this class start you off with a turbocharged 4-cylinder. Not so with the 2021 Maserati Levante. Instead, the standard Levante, GranLusso and GranSport immediately gift you with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6, good for 345 horsepower. Choosing the Levante S ups the power output to an impressive 424 horsepower while dropping 0-to-60 times from 5.8 seconds to 5.0 seconds. Meanwhile, the GTS and Trofeo trims boast a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged V8 with 550 and 590 horsepower, respectively. As expected, the latter offers blistering performance with a 187-mph top speed and a 0-to-60 time of 3.8 seconds. Not only do you get an advanced ZF 8-speed automatic transmission regardless of powerplant choice, but every Levante also comes equipped with the Q4 intelligent all-wheel drive system.
The 2021 Levante also features the Sport Skyhook suspension system, which offers adaptive shock damping along with several driver-selectable modes for enhanced comfort and handling. This feature works in conjunction with the Active Air Suspension system, which raises and lowers the ride height depending on current road conditions and driver preferences.
