2022 Maserati Ghibli

Overview
The Maserati Ghibli stands out from its largely-German competition thanks to its head-turning Italian styling and thrilling performance. True to form, the 2022 Ghibli’s exotic styling puts it in good company with more exotic fare from Lamborghini and Ferrari, all while maintaining the classic styling cues that helped define the Maserati nameplate throughout its history. Full-LED adaptive headlights further highlight the Ghibli’s seductive styling while providing enhanced night-time visibility. Inside, the Ghibli surrounds driver and passengers alike in a world of premium materials, including leather and natural silk upholstery.
The Perfect Ride For…
Luxury sedan shoppers in search for something a bit out of the ordinary. For 2022, the Ghibli features a more streamlined roster of models, starting with the well-equipped GT. The Modena adds V8 power and an optional all-wheel drive system if one chooses the Modena Q4. Finally, the Trofeo offers more power and a more performance-oriented look and feel, complete with red-accented fender vents and more aggressive overall styling.
Drive and Handling
While similar sedans in its class start out with four-cylinder engines, the 2022 Maserati Ghibli kicks things off with a 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged V6 engine. Standard in the GT trim, this engine puts out 345 horsepower and 369 pound-feet of torque. The Modena and Modena Q4 kicks things up a notch with an uprated version of this engine, resulting in 424 horsepower and 428 pound-feet of torque. Thunderous V8 power comes in the form of a 3.8-liter twin-turbocharged unit, standard in the Trofeo trim and capable of 580 horsepower and 538 pound-feet of torque. The end result is 0-to-60 acceleration in 4 seconds flat and a top speed of 203 mph.
The 2022 Ghibli supplements its raw power with sharp handling courtesy of the Skyhook suspension system. Standard on the Trofeo and available on select Modena trims, this suspension system uses a variety of sensors to monitor current road conditions and provide continuous shock damping. The Ghibi combines this feature with a lightweight chassis boasting perfect 50:50 weight distribution, resulting in an electrifying driving experience without sacrificing overall comfort.
Key Features
Safety
The 2022 Ghibli also boasts an assortment of safety and driver-assistance features, including a Highway Driving Assist system that offers assistance with lane keeping and cruising duties on highways and limited access freeways. Other features include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go and Active Blind Spot Assist, which uses rear sensors to detect other vehicles in the Ghibli’s rear and side blind spots.
Infotainment
A frameless 10.1-inch touch screen display comes standard on every 2022 Ghibli model. This screen also serves as the gateway to the Maserati Intelligent Assistant multimedia system. In addition to fully integrated navigation, this system also includes access to Amazon Alexa and a Wi-Fi hotspot. An 8-speaker audio system also comes standard in the Ghibli, but audiophiles of all stripes can push for the 10-speaker Harman Kardon premium audio system or a 15-speaker system courtesy of Bowers & Wilkins.
